Well now that just over a week has passed, images from the Village Project are beginning to trickle in…
We’re still looking for your stories, images, experiences and comments about the event…

I for one can tell you that Gabriel the psychic DJ blew my mind, and offered up some very insightful interpretations as well as some excellent advice. And, my man Mr. Moonshine is still making us all smile thanks to his fine products…

Congratulations to the pie champion, Robert Squire, who was the lucky winner of the geodesic secret surprise pie which was raffled off by the Pie Artists (Caroline and Noodle)!

We’re all real proud of you Rob… you and that pie look real nice together!

Thanks to the amazing contribution of so many talented artists, our little Village came alive!
We were overjoyed and overwhelmed by the response of the community that came to see and experience…
We would love to hear from all of you who came to look, eat, dance, create, and explore.

Load in on Friday was an exciting and intense time for all of us… taking the village pieces from the warehouse space and putting them together for the first time to form the cohesive Village. Here are some images from that process.

Last night at the yellow house there was a beautiful jam in preparation for Tarran the Tailor’s show at the Dollhouse…We thought since most of these fine folk will be performing at the Village that we would include some images from this incredible moment… ahhhhh.

Time is ticking away and work at the warehouse is moving along quickly. Last night at the space we had some extra hands (Erin, Heather, Rebecca, Amber, Nyana, Isaac, Cha cha and myself along with the regular crew of Brodie, Jordan and Chris). We made some things and stuff, and found a new way of solving problems: dancin’ and leg wrastlin’. Hats off to all competitors. You have amazing moves.

Well its been a few days since I was down at the space, but the images Brodie and Jordan have brought back of the process are getting me excited to go down again and get cutting and making. Here are some updated images from the Burnaby space… check out the amazing facades and small details like those swans and cardboard tiles… its really coming along!
